Perhaps the biggest contribution to this belief is that United States President Barack Obama comes from a bi-racial family, and since he is the leader of the United States racism is non-existent.
I completely disagree with this statement. Racism is still a huge issue in the U.S. I believe that this issue has gone down but now with all the elections the number of racist's has gone up. Racism is still existent. No matter what there will always be a new generation that have their own beliefs that consist of racism. There will always be people who think highly of themselves, and believe that they deserve to have a better life than African American's.
America is a very big country with many people in it. There will always be racist people in our country, there were many reasons as to why Barack Obama was elected for example, his skin color, politics and simply because people didn't like the other runner.
